How good is PokerTH's AI?
Not very. No offense to the programmers. It's nothing like playing people.
I played the AI for a bit and it's ok when I was learning and too afraid to play people. Not bad for learning the very early ropes. I'd recommend just jumping in here and playing people. Some might be worse than the AI but it's more fun.

When you're just starting out and want to learn how to play poker (and not bingo donk), I think it's very useful for practising while you learn the basics.
Then, as noob says, there's nothing like confronting people. Poker is a human game.

I would say just jump in & learn to swim with the sharks. There's no better teacher than making mistakes! And as Danek said, poker is a human game, so play with the humans & get better by playing people who are better than you. I've been here since 2017 & I'm still learning from other players, plus you get to meet the really great people here.
